Our team

Our years of experience in the museums sector will help you make the biggest digital impact you can.

The Museum Platform is a collaboration between Thirty8 Digital (Mike Ellis), Knowledge Integration (Rob Tice) and Sesamoid Consulting (Jeremy Ottevanger).

Between us we have decades of experience in the museum and cultural heritage sector. We came together as The Museum Platform to crack a problem that required the range of all our experience: helping small museums take effective steps towards digital impact.

Mike Ellis has been creating digital products in and for museums for more than twenty years. For most of that time, he’s been asking the question: how can we make this work for small organisations and their users? Mike and Rachel Ellis run Thirty8 Digital, an agency that works with museums, providing innovative but realistic solutions that help museums reach their audiences.

His company Knowledge Integration builds the infrastructure that brings your collections to light through the Museum Platform.

Jeremy Ottevanger began managing an online museum of prehistory in 1999, and it quickly became a career building websites for museums.

His role is to look at an organisation’s ambition, and bridge the gap between its systems and data, and the needs of its visitors.
